Husband and wife team Dr Gunjan and Dr Ravi spent a decade refining their vision for New Age Dental before the purpose-built, state-of-the-art dental and anaesthetic practice opened its doors in 2016. Earlier this year, their vision received well-deserved recognition as New Age Dental became the first general dental practice in the country to gain certification from the Australian Department of Health and Human Services as a Day Procedure Centre.
Our Practice is a Little Different from the Norm!
Dr Gunjan Bangia is a general dentist whose work in the public dental sector was recognised in the Public Oral health Awards by the Dental Health Services Victoria in 2015. Her husband, Dr Ravi Bangia is a registered anaesthetic consultant for leading private hospitals in Melbourne and is a practising ICU consultant at Austin Health. The couple spent years discussing the need for general anaesthesia in dentistry and the challenges with safety standards before New Age Dental was completed. The result is a high-class dental practice offering the very best standard of anaesthetic and dental technology.

Initially, the facility was used to treat Gunjan’s private patients, but now this world-class facility is available to general and specialist dentists who wish to treat their patients under general anaesthetic safely.
