Why we might discuss bone grafting with you for dental implants

During your initial consultation for dental implants, our dentist will carry out advanced diagnostic tests to determine the amount of healthy bone available for dental implants. If there isn’t sufficient bone, this can be replaced with a bone graft. This is a specialised procedure, but there is no need to be concerned. Treatment will have been thoroughly planned, right down to the tiniest detail and our caring dental team will make sure you are safe and comfortable.

There are a number of different materials that can be used to replace missing bone as it can be harvested from another site from your body, it may be donor bone that has been specially treated and sterilised, or we can use synthetic bone grafting materials. Our dentist will discuss the most suitable options with you, so you can make the best choice for your treatment.

You can call us on (03) 9467 6759 or visit the practice at Suite 5, Level 1, 20 Scholar Drive, Bundoora VIC 3083.
