Our infection control change over procedure

Infection control is something we take very seriously, not only do we have stringent sterilization procedures that include a dedicated sterilization room that is apart of our practice and daily protocol. We also include strict procedure to be followed after every patient that has visited our Bundoora surgery.

This includes removing all used hand tools and disinfecting the surfaces.

Where we can, we use disposable tools and equipment, however sometimes this is not possible depending on the treatment for the patient. In this case, we transfer all equipment used to our sterilization room. High temperatures will ensure all bacterial infection is removed and all tools are then packed and stored to eliminate any possibility of cross-contamination in accordance with the National Health and Safety Standard.
